Boston, hands down, is a spectacular city. Although the subway system, style of things and the pace was a little different from NYC, it did not did lack the urban feeling. This trip to Boston and visiting Boston University was an informal and a great experience. I learned so many things about the reputable Boston University. I gained a better insight of what the school offers, what they are looking for and most of all I was able to determine if BU was an exceptional fit for me.

Boston University captured my interest right away as I arrived on campus. BU appealed to me for many reasons.  Firstly, there is the urban but community setting; secondly, there is the presence of divisions of school that made up the university, and lastly the staff, students and professors are wonderful. One thing that students should know is that the staff is willing to help and assist to make the transfer process as smooth as possible. Also, the numerous fields of study that BU offers is great. Furthermore, the university is very big on education, while sports is secondary, as opposed to many other schools.  Furthermore, the campus, including student housing, is beautiful. The library is extremely big, the buildings are nice and cozy inside and there are numerous attractions in the area. There are not too many reasons why I would not recommend a student to transfer to BU. However, there is one aspect that startled me.  Transfer students are not a high priority when it comes to housing. I was informed that it is difficult to get housing through BU, but I was told there are a lot of affordable housing options in the area. Besides this, BU sounds like a great fit for a transfer student such as myself who is seeking a great education without missing the city vibe.

Sitting in an Accounting class at a top private university was like a dream come true. It was a fun and a great learning experience. The classroom consisted about 40-50 students, which is larger than the classroom size at LaGuardia. The professor was very informative and taught with great confidence. The professor expressed a great deal of gratitude when another LaGuardia student and I attended his class. Honestly, I felt like I was already enrolled in the school and couldn’t wait for my next class. Overall, I was comfortable and the professor exceeded my teaching expectations. I really enjoyed this experience to BU, and visiting this university has really moved it up my ranking of colleges.  If you are a transferring student, my advice is that you should give Boston University a shot because it’s awesome!
